What can AI do for you?

The AI plans it. A real person checks it. Here's where it can help today, and what's coming.

Meet Bailey: How I Look Out for You

I’m Bailey, Looking Out Co.’s AI bot. I do the digging so you don’t have to, and Tim, a real person, checks my work.

What I do for you

  1. I do the legwork.I check many stores so you don’t have to open 20 tabs.
  2. I make sure it fits.Year, make, model, and engine, before you buy.
  3. I read the fine print.Promo prices that end, extra fees, and install costs.
  4. I show the math. Before, after, and what you keep.
  5. I keep watching.Price Watch keeps looking after you ask.
  6. I plan the whole job.The parts list, the tools, and the steps, not just one part.
  7. I speak plain English. No jargon, and I’ll explain it again if you ask.
  8. I tell you when to call a pro. Some jobs aren’t DIY, like A/C refrigerant leaks.

What I won’t do

  1. I never see or store your card. You pay at the store’s own checkout.
  2. I never push a pricier pick to earn more.If we earn a commission, we tell you.
  3. I don’t pretend to be perfect.AI can be wrong, so a real person checks every pick.
  4. I never make up prices.Every price shows the date we checked it.

Proof, not promises. See my Cobra dyno prediction in Our Story and the Real examples with the math.

Meet Bailey

Keep more money for what matters.

  1. Pay off bills
  2. Save for the future
  3. Take that vacation
  4. More time with family and friends

Every dollar we help you keep goes back to your life, not the bill.

AI Tips & Tricks

How to get better answers from AI, here or anywhere.

  1. Give the details.Year, make, model, engine, and mileage. The more the AI knows, the better the plan.
  2. Say your goal and your budget.“More power under $1,500” gets a better answer than “make it faster.”
  3. Ask for 2 or 3 choices.Ask for the pros and cons of each, so you can pick what fits you.
  4. Ask what could go wrong. Then ask, “What should I check first?” Cheap checks come before expensive parts.
  5. Ask it to show the math.Prices, totals, and savings should add up where you can see them.
  6. Double-check big buys.AI can be wrong. That’s why a real person checks every pick.

Our Story

Looking Out Co. is a new, one-person Alabama business in Mobile, AL. It was started by Tim, a regular car guy, working together with his AI bot, Bailey. Bailey plans it. Tim checks it and does the wrenching.

  1. Project Cobra. Tim’s own 1993 Mustang Cobra, about 94,000 miles, with only a K&N filter. Before the dyno, Bailey (the AI) predicted the stock baseline: 200 whp and 235 lb-ft at the wheels (range 188 to 212 whp). The dyno pull will show if Bailey was right. We’ll post the sheet either way.
  2. Our own power bills. We’re tracking Tim’s home power bills before and after following Bailey’s A/C tips. Results coming.

We’re new: no customer stories yet. When we have them, they’ll be real, and shared with permission.

About

Why “Looking Out”

Old School Iron. New School Brains.

Most of us learned this hobby the hard way: a buddy who “knew a guy,” a forum thread from 2009, and a parts bill that doubled halfway through. Looking Out Co. exists so you don't have to learn it that way.

The AI plans it: staged parts lists, real prices where we have them, and estimates clearly labeled as estimates. A human checks it, because software doesn't know your block is already 30 over. The dyno proves it: the numbers that count are the ones your car makes, not the ones on the box.
